A
second charter for an annual fair, granted to Manchester by Henry III.,
at the request of the third Baron of Manchester. The time was now extended to
three days - on the eve and feast day of St. Matthew, the apostle, and the day
next following - and the grant made perpetual.
No consideration is stated as having been paid for the charter, which is
dated at Faringdon, 19th August.
