1222. Manchester

Greslet
obtained a grant of a yearly fair of two days' duration at his lordship of
Manchester, to be held on the eve and day of St. Matthew. The grant is dated
11th of August. As the King was then a minor, the privilege was limlted until
the time when the King should come of age.
For this concession the baron gave five marks and one palfrey. See
